Terms of Use

By accessing or using Rae — the Telegram bot, the Rae Mini App, and this website (together, the “App”) — you agree to these terms in full. If you do not agree with any part of them, your only option is to stop and not use the App.

1. Educational tool only — AI can be wrong

Rae is an AI-powered study aid for general educational purposes only. Its answers, explanations, quizzes, notes and other content are generated by automated language models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, out of date, or simply wrong. Nothing in the App is professional advice of any kind (academic, medical, legal, financial or otherwise). Always verify anything important against authoritative sources before relying on it.

2. Your account and eligibility

You use Rae through your Telegram account, and you are responsible for activity that happens through it. You must also comply with Telegram's own terms. If you are below the age at which you can consent to these terms in your country, use Rae only with a parent or guardian's permission.

3. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the App: no unlawful use, no attempts to abuse, overload, probe or disrupt the service or its usage limits, and no submitting content you have no right to share. You are responsible for using Rae in a way that's consistent with your school's or institution's academic-integrity rules.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Rae has a free tier plus paid monthly plans with larger usage allowances. Payments are processed by Stripe; plans renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel anytime from the billing portal in the App's Settings — cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for. Usage allowances are metered fairly to keep the service sustainable; limits and plan features may evolve.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of what you send Rae. You grant us the rights needed to operate the App — processing your messages, photos and files (including through the AI and infrastructure providers described in the Privacy Policy) to generate answers, notes, flashcards and progress tracking for you.

6. Provided “as is” — no warranties

The App is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”, with all faults and without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory — including, to the fullest extent permitted by law, any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be accurate, reliable, uninterrupted, secure or error-free.

7. You assume all risk

You use the App entirely at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you accept and bear all risk arising from your use of the App and any reliance on its content — including any lost marks, exam outcomes, missed deadlines, or any other consequence of an incorrect or incomplete answer.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will Rae or its creator, owners, operators, contributors or suppliers be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill or other losses, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the App — even if advised of the possibility, and regardless of the legal theory. Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it is limited to the amount (if any) you paid to use the App in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Your sole remedy; indemnification

If you are dissatisfied with the App or disagree with any part of these terms, your sole and exclusive remedy is to stop using the App. You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Rae and its creator, owners and operators from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or connected with your use of the App or your breach of these terms.

10. Termination and changes

We may suspend or end access for misuse, and we may update the App or these terms at any time. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated terms. Questions? Message @MeetRaeBot or use the feedback box in the App's Settings.
